Quiabuc las Brisas nature reserve – 1 day

Our tour begins at 5.30 am at SONATI. We take the bus at 6 am to the San Roque community in the Quiabuc Reserve. For about 4 hours we hike through the tropical dry forest. Take care, this trek involves crossing steep slopes where there are no defined trails. They are not difficult but can be rough and slippery. We climb up through the trees and fincas of the tropical dry forest followed by going down the hill to the Quebrada grande river. You will see amazing panoramic views where we always can stop and rest if wanted.

We continue along the Quebrada Grande River valley in the gallery forest, to las Golondrinas waterfall where you can swim in the pool, and relax over lunch. The final part of the trek follows the river valley and then climbs up to get to the bus stop. We are back at SONATI at around 4.30 pm.
